
Kiwis are one of our favorites, but many consider it to be an “exotic” fruit. Let’s get to know these tasty little guys, shall we?
The kiwi is native to China and was known as the Chinese gooseberry until New Zealand growers renamed it for their national bird and began exporting it. They grow on vines, much like grapes. Oddly enough, kiwis make an excellent meat tenderizer when puréed and used in marinades.
