Brimming with Vitamin C, potassium and fiber, berries are healthy and tasty companions to our favorite yellow fruit. In her winning Chiquita Banana Organic Recipe Contest submission, Michele took this power combo to the next level by using Raspberry Sherbet instead of ice cream for some added flavor and an even smoother smoothie. Michele’s “Banana Berry Blast” Smoothie Recipe
Makes 3-5 servings
Ingredients
- 1-2 Frozen Organic Chiquita Bananas
- 1 cup all natural Apple Juice
- 1 1/2 cups Lemonade
- 1 cup Frozen Raspberries
- 1 cup Frozen Raspberry Sherbet
- 1/2 cup Frozen Strawberries
Directions
Pour all liquid ingredients into blender, then add frozen ingredients. Blend at mix setting for 30 seconds, then on smooth setting until smooth.
I thought the contest was awesome, people need to start thinking about their health more and this was a fun and creative, not to mention yummy way to remind people that eating organically isn't boring and tasteless!!
