July is great for celebrating summer-time fixin’s. We already covered National Ice Cream Month, but July is also National Hot Dog Month. This may not seem like the most fruit-friendly holiday, but there’s a reason the Recipeels tagline is “Creativity in the Kitchen.” In honor of National Hot Dog Month, let’s all celebrate with a banana on a bun!

The year was 1984 and Ronald Reagan was pretty busy running for re-election. But as the 40th President of the United States, he still had duties to attend to, like overseeing the economic recovery, opening the 1984 Olympic Games, and of course, celebrating ice cream! Wait… what? That’s right, back in the 1980’s Ronald Reagon officially designated an entire month to ICE CREAM! That month is July, so we've gathered some of our favorite ice cream recipes so you can celebrate.

Ah, the 4th of July: a day filled with fireworks and an abundance of all things red, white and blue. Also, synonymous with the 4th is food, and lots of it. From barbecues and picnics to late night fireworks celebrations, Independence Day is filled with eating. And where there’s a main course, there’s dessert! This year, Chiquita wants to help make it a healthy one with our recipe for Patriotic Banana Pops.
