Here at the EatAChiquita.com Blog, we love banana stickers. A lot. And so does Rebecca Martz, an avid fruit sticker collector who has traveled the globe in search of these tiny works of art. With over 10,000 stickers in her collection, Becky is here to share her adventures in sticker collecting and give some advice to new sticker collectors out there.

On June 21st, we launched the Chiquita Banana Sticker Design Contest (a first-ever for us) and asked you to take our iconic blue sticker and make it your own. And boy, did you! Over 1,300 submissions later, we were tasked with choosing the top 50 finalists. It was difficult with so many great designs but we managed to narrow it down. Then, over the next three weeks, we asked you to vote for your favorite designs. Now, voting is over and you’ve picked the 18 final winners.

September is National Organic Harvest Month and we think there’s no better time to celebrate a member of the Chiquita family, organic bananas! As part of our celebration, we’re asking you to join us in making a difference.

We first met Chris and Connie when they shared their engagement story of Love at First Sticker. Now, the wedding is only a month away and we’re excited to share this update on their wedding planning process.

Last week we interviewed legendary "Top Banana" Ken Bannister on how a roll of Chiquita stickers started what's become a lifetime passion, not to mention an International Banana Club bosting global membership and wholesome, healthy fun. By passing out Chiquita stickers at trade shows, Ken Bannister earned a reputation for loving bananas, and other banana fans responded by sending him banana-related items in exchange for "Banana Merits," the official score-keeping system of the International Banana Club.

This man knows bananas: it’s Ken “The Top Banana” Bannister, founder of the International Banana Club and Museum and lifetime Chiquita chomper (he eats one banana a day, every day). We read about his banana exploits and had to know more: Ken was kind enough to share his story and enthusiasm with Chiquita, and we're here to pass that on to you all, starting with this first post in a series on the International Banana Club, Museum, and activities. Read on to find out how it all got started.

For Chris and Connie, our classic blue banana sticker is about more than Chiquita: it’s about family, traditions, and most of all, love.
Growing up, Connie’s mom collected Chiquita stickers and displayed them for her and her sister to play with. Most of the stickers were placed under the dinner table so the kids could look at them while they crawled around. Little did Connie know the Chiquita sticker was going to change her life . . .
