September is National Organic Harvest Month and we think there’s no better time to celebrate a member of the Chiquita family, organic bananas! As part of our celebration, we’re asking you to join us in making a difference.
Chiquita will donate 10% of this month’s Organic Banana sales* (*up to $10,000.00) to one of three environmental, non-profit organizations: The Nature Conservancy’s Adopt an Acre program, National Wildlife Federation’s Gulf Oil Spill Restoration Fund or World Wildlife Fund’s species adoption program. So, where do you come in?
Well, you get to decide where it goes!
Throughout the month of September, you can vote for your favorite environmental non-profit and help decide the winner. Head on over to the and “Like” the organization you would like to see the donation go to. The non-profit with the most “Likes” by September 30th wins. Aside from helping three great organizations gain awareness for their conservations efforts, you’re promoting a healthy, sustainable lifestyle for yourself and the world. Just be sure to look for that familiar blue sticker at retailers across the US.
Speaking of stickers…
The party continues on the bananas themselves! As part of our celebration, you will be able to see brand new stickers on Chiquita’s organic bananas, including some exclusive designs just for the month of September. Be sure to ask your local grocer to carry Chiquita’s organic bananas if they don’t already and enjoy a fat-free banana that tastes great and is 100% organically grown.
